The Termas de Chillan Mountain Resort superbly combines two well sought-after
Andean attractions: snow and hot springs. Not only do these two combine
perfectly, but help to make this complex attractive year round. The hot
springs in a heavily forested setting make an unusual combination in Chile's
central Andes, where ski resorts usually lie above the tree line and thus,
when the snow melts, lose some of their attractiveness. The autumn is a
particularly attractive season, as there are no crowds and you can enjoy the
thermal pools at your leisure. The forest is tinged with red and ochre, and
the weather, while cool in the morning and the evening, is warm and pleasant
during the day.
